I graduated from Harvard with a degree in Economics, cum laude with high honors and a 3.91 GPA. I tutor high school students across math, writing, social studies, and economics, and I’m glad to help with study skills, essays, and test prep (SAT/ACT). I taught throughout most of my time in college. For three semesters, I was a Course Assistant for a Harvard economics course, where I wrote the weekly lesson plans, co-authored the midterm and final, and ran office hours and exam-prep sessions, which taught me a lot about where students actually get stuck and how to explain something a second and third way when the first one doesn’t land. I also served as an Economics course aid through Harvard’s Academic Resource Center.
Writing is the other half of what I do. I spent three years as Managing Editor of Harvard’s oldest weekly newspaper, editing every article we published and working with a staff of 41 writers, so I’ve done a lot of sitting down with someone and helping them make a messy draft and say what they meant.
My goal with any student is for the work to start feeling manageable鈥攏ot just to get through tonight’s assignment, but to build the habits that make the next one easier.
