Hello! I鈥檓 Matthew, a Computer Science major with a Finance minor at Princeton University, and your go-to guide for conquering all high school math (from Pre-Algebra and SSAT prep through AP Calculus and Multivariable Calculus), Biology, Chemistry, Physics, SAT/PSAT鈥攁nd whatever else you need to master.
I fell in love with teaching the moment I saw that spark in a student鈥檚 eyes when a tough concept finally clicked. To me, it鈥檚 not just about arriving at the right answer鈥攊t鈥檚 about building the confidence and critical-thinking skills that last well beyond our sessions. My teaching style is all about clear, step-by-step explanations, plenty of practice, and yes, a few math jokes along the way.
Back in high school, I was honored to participate in Harvard Medical School’s HPREP program and also complete biomedical engineering research internships鈥攅xperiences that taught me how to break complex problems into bite-sized wins. At Princeton, I鈥檝e put that same problem-solving passion to work on student-driven app projects and research collaborations.
Outside the classroom, I serve as president of the Princeton Powerlifting Club, where I helped coach nine lifters to collegiate nationals and even competed at the 2024 world championships myself, placing 3rd. Coaching in the gym reinforced one of my core tutoring principles: every big goal is just a series of small, achievable steps.
Whether we鈥檙e untangling a tricky proof or mastering a physics concept, I鈥檓 here to help you unlock your potential鈥攐ne “aha!鈥 moment at a time. Let鈥檚 get started!
